The Incredible

On Wednesday evening, my boy took out "The Garfield" movie CD (ya, I bought cd, not dvd, that was a few years back) and requested me to turn on the power for him. I was a bit bored with that, he has been watching this movie since 15 months, 7 months and he still likes this movie, "The Garfield" and will watch that once a week.

I opened up the drawer to check was there any other movie to intro for my little boy and I found this, "The Incredible".

Psedornna: "Why don't we watch new movie today? The Incredible?"
My boy: "Okay!" with a smile on his face.

Quite happy that my boy willing to accept new movie. He helped me to put in the DVD, closed the TV rack and sat back on the sofa awaiting for the movie to start. As usual, I will prepare water and some snacks, Cheerios for him while he watched movie. My little KING likes to enjoy his movie with snacks.

Surprisingly, my boy was sitting for the whole movie for about 1 hour and 45 minutes. He will told me what had happened in the movie and asked why why why. YES, he was the one who talked more than I did. Hahaha... I did explain the story for him as well and seems to be understood. He was so concentrated on the movie all way long, especially the Jack Jack. He will shouted "baby" and started to sayang my baby as well. Ya, he is always lovely to me and my baby. (will blog about my boy and my baby soon)

I used to tell story or sing a song to my little boy when he was drinking his milk before sleep every night. But my boy non-stop telling me "The Incredible" story with the teat in his mouth! He can even talk while drinking his milk. He likes the part when the Big Ball (robots) fighting with the Mr Incredible! ^_^

Anyway, love watching movie with my boy, he is no longer a small boy who does not how to enjoy movie. In fact, he likes it. My little boy has grown up......

Hubby's Birthday

Hubby's Birthday was on March, this was a back dated post.

On that day, I left my company on time. After picked up my boy from baby sitter's house, we went to Sunshine Square to buy a small cake. Thought of giving my hubby a surprise when he back home later.

Hubby called me that he will be back a bit late as will be having dinner with his colleagues. Then we just took our dinner and shower and started to snap some photo while awaiting for my hubby, his daddy to come back home. My boy started to pose in front of the cake for me to snap. Then... let's the photo below tells the story ^_^

 I told him we will sing birthday song when Papa was home, he stood up clapping hands and pretended to blow candle ^.^

Mama... I meant just touched. I knew have to wait papa home, no panic. I just try on your response. Muahahaha...

After half an hour of waiting.....
My little boy no more mood to pose and cheeky with mommy. How long we have to wait???

Yeah... I can eat the chocolate now!

In total, I snap 400+ photos that night! Crazy me... Or I should say, we have been waiting for hubby for more than 40 minutes. Hahaha... Anyway, my boy and I like the cake so much as it was coffee flavour! I can say I am the one who finish the cake instead of my hubby! Hehehe...

~Vainpot~

My vain boy is back. He started to used my mobile phone to take photo for himself when he was 15 months. (read more here)

Last night, when I was dressing for him after shower. He took out his cap and put on his head. Then, he request me to carry him up, so that he can see how he looked like in the mirror, which is hanged higher than his height. He was so happy and satisfy with his look and said "leng leng" (Beautiful in Cantonese). As I just teach him how to say "leng leng" when he see his mother is pretty. ^,^ Yet to teach him to say "leng chai". Hahaha.... I think I am going to teach him to say this.

After admiring himself for a while, I suggest to snap some photo for him. My little boy, who doesn't like to be taken photo or recorded video recently AGREED. He must be thinking that he looked great with the cap!..... I think!

But... My camera ran out of battery last night! What a co-incidence. Thought of no chances to snap for him. Surprisingly, this little handsome boy went to my hand bag and took out my mobile phone and said "nah!"

I was SWEAT looking at my vain boy! Then he started to pose by putting his hand on the head, pointing to his cheek, smile cheekily...... Most surprisingly, this little boy who not willing to snap photo for the past couple of months, willing stood still in front of my mobile, posing, smile and allow me to snap photo for him!

Definately he would ran towards me to look at the photo after every single shot. ~.~ VAIN!!!!

Breakfast in the CAR

 
Every morning, during our way to baby sitter's house, I used to give him a small piece of wholemeal bread to hold and eat by himself if he request to eat bread. If he wanna eat biscuit, he will enjoy himself.

Yesterday morning I tried to give him the sausage bun to hold and eat. I kept reminding him to take a SMALL bite! This little cheeky fella then kept repeating "small bite...small bite" before he bit off the bun. Funny! He likes the sausage so much! Kept saying & showing his hand sign of "GOOD" when chewing the sausage. Hehehe... He can finished one third of the sausage bun when we reached baby sitter's house!

This cheeky boy can't stop playing while eating as well. Both hands were holding the sausage bun, so he used his leg to play with his dog. ~.~

These pictures were taken at the same place on different time. Before December 2010, the advertisement was Nescafe. (picture below, taken from google search).

Wondering why I taken these photos? Hehehehe... All because of my little boy. He was the one who notice the changes of the advertisement. He was the one who informed his mommy about the changes of the advertisement as well.

I can say my little boy has a good observation. He manage to notice every single little changes in his daily life; eg, the carpet, the sofa cushion cover, the home deco etc. Even the advertisement board on the road side during his way going back home.

"Mama... I"

When I was changing for my boy after shower on Sunday evening. He was pointing on the wall saying: "Mama, I"

Then I looked at the wall and I saw this. ^_^

Hahahaha.... My boy is mentioned about the sunlight penetrating through our window!

The kids nowadays really full of imagination and can relate whatever things they see in life to what they have learnt. Even for my boy who is merely 21 months.

I think I should be more hardworking to record down all this.

"Fish Die Die"

My boy: "fish, die die..."

I heard my little boy was saying this to the baby sitter's husband while I went to fetch him last evening. Hahaha....

Baby sitter's husband just back from work by the time I reach their house last evening. Normally, my son will request Uncle (baby sitter's husband) to bring him walk one round before he backs home. After the walk, Auntie remind my boy, "what you wanna tell uncle?" That's why he said the fish die die.

My Boy Loves Mee Goreng

Can this photo to be post as advertisement for "Ibumie Always Mee Goreng"? ^o^

I knew that these instant noodle is not healthy for my little boy, but he just wanna tried and asked for MORE!

This was the second time my boy has this Mee Goreng. I lazy to cook for dinner last night, so I just cook this Mee Goreng after feeding my boy a cup of yogurt. When he saw me holding the bowl, he open his eyes BIG BIG! Looking forward for what was inside the bowl. My boy: "Waoooo...." while I put down my bowl on the coffee table.

He hold my chopstick and started to eat the Mee Goreng all by himself. He is not using the chopstick in a correct way, but manage to hold up some noddle and able to put in his mouth for that. He looked so cute! So I quickly took out my camera and snap some photos for him.

The Mee Goreng is a bit spicy, he will said "lart lart" (spicy in cantonese) in the first few bite and drank water. After a few times, he can continue eating without any water. Not bad huh?

21 months + 2 weeks + 2 days

I knew I am getting lazy these days... As I used to update my boy monthly development, but now... Woohoho.... Anyway, herewith some the summarize before I forget... Ya, being forgetful these day, I am having the short-term menory lost ^,^

Physically, he is 10.7kg in weight and 85cm in height. He is active, so gain not much weight since 8 months back.

Mentally he is quite independent now that he will immitate what we do in dairy life and he will do according what we instruct him.

He is systematic. For instance, he will put his shoes nicely and neatlly every time he back home. He will helps his daddy to put back his slipper on the shoe rack. Every morning, he will choose and bring down my shoes for me as well. ~Sweet~ The picture below is how my boy arrange his shoes. Wondering why he likes to put them in this order? but not by pairs? The stool beside is where my boy will sit down and put on his shoes by himself. Yups, he knew to differentiate left and right and put on his shoes all by himself.

He understood everything we said in English and Cantonese. He is not only understood what we said but will response to us accordingly. His response really surprise us some time!

He knows how to shower himself, by pressing the soap, apply all over his body, take the shower, shower himself and take the towel to wipe clean. But I am still beside him to help him shower, as I don't trust he is CLEAN in that way. ^o^

He likes to read book while passing motion. >.< The pictures below were taken on my boy 15 months. He was more chubby that time huh!


He doesn't like dirty. Whenever his hand is wet or dirty, he will request a handky to clean

He likes to eat yogurt and drink yogurt drinks. Most of the weekday evening, I will give him a cup of dutch lady yogurt to enjoy himself. He will eat by himself. If his hands accidentally touched on the yogurt, he will say "mart mart" (clean in cantonese). He will walk into his room, open his closet to take out a handky to clean. Then he will continue enjoying his yogurt. I let him do this all by himself as I need to do the cooking in the kitchen.

Speak development. In his 19 months, he was able to recognize A-Z and speak some of the letters only but he can tell A-Z now. Regarding of numbers, he just able to say 2,3,5,6,8,9,10 &12. His speak/vocabulary boost up these days, where he will say something which out of our expectation.

He can buckle up by himself in the high chair and stroller. Whenever we put him in the high chair (dining outside) and stroller, he will automatically buckle up himself. The picture below was my boy buckle up for his Barney and said "let's go walk walk" and smile at me cheekily. This was the first time I heard him saying: "Let's go walk walk" as well. As he used to say "go go go" / "let's go" / "walk walk" only. He starts to combining all the words he knows.
He like capsicum and vegetable. Another things that surprise me is he likes to eat capsicum uncook! Not everyone can accept the smell and tast of raw capsicum, but my little boy likes holding the capsicum in his hands and chew and ask for more after finishing. He likes vegetables as well, eg brocolli, beans, cabbage.

He enjoys his food very much! Whenever he taste something delicious, he will just sit back, put his hand at the back of his head and chew his food. I am enjoying to dine outside with him as well. I merely need to order the food he likes, put in the spoon and he will feed by himself.





He likes to play the TOM CAT in I-Pad. My sister allows my boy to play with the TOM CAT in her I-pad. My boy learn so fast, he knows how to play and open the app even though at the menu screen. No wonder I-pad is so famous nowadays!

He learns to push stroller. My boy learned to push the stroller in order to push his sibling in future. Hahaha... This was what I told him.





He knew a lot of spelling now. In my previous post, I mentioned about the spelling he knew were - ANT, BOOK, BALL, BOX, BUS, CAR, CAT, COW, DOG, FISH, HAT, EGG, GATE, STAR. Add on with - BEAR, BOAT, BUG, BED, CAKE, DOOR, DUCK, FEET, FROG, HAND, HAIR, LEG, MUG, MOM, SOCK, TOE, ZIP... These are all the words I remember now.





He doesn't like to be taken photo or recorded video. He will use his hand to stop me taking photo and recording video for him now like a celebrities. 
He knew how to change his pants now. I haven't buy any pajamas for my boy as I received a lot of them from my sister and sister-in-law. But most of them are quite loose. One morning, my boy told me his pants was loose. I didn't bother him at all as I was busy. Surprisingly he went into his room, open his closet and took out a short pants. He took off the loose pants and put on the short pants himself. Hahaha....

Every kids love playground, so does my little boy. He loves the slide the most. My little boy found his own way playing with the slide. He climb up, slide down, climb up again, slide down again... again and again until he is tired. ^_^





He likes to play rubik. Yet to know how to make the 6 colours but he is good in messing up! Just in a short time, from baby sitter house back to our house, about 25 minutes, he manage to mess up all the colours!

Last but not least, he likes to put on cap. This is what I can remember now and I will update more frequently. ^_^
His face in this picture looked pity huh? Haha... He was requesting to go my sister's house on weekend, but I lazy to go. So he prepare everything, put inside the bag whatever he wannt bring along to my sister's house, with his soft toy, put on his hat, put on his shoes, sit on the stool at the door side and showed me his pity face, awaiting for me to fetch him to my sister's house. @.@

Headache + Tired

Haven update my blog for quite some time ^,^ Tired + Headache... Doctor just advice me to take more rest, nothing can help T_T

Just trying to get more rest and sleep together with my boy. He sleeps around 930pm every night. I will co-sleeping with him then my husband will call me up and back to my room to sleep till morning.

So... I sleep almost 9 hours everyday! But head still spinning.

Luckily my boy is a caring boy. When I told him "mommy headache" He will come to me, saying "hug mama" and gave me a kiss or use his little palm to pat pat my head. It was sooooo sweet to me....

Anyway, hope my headache will subside soon.

My boy starts to SING!

My boy started to sing along, when I played this song in the car last Friday! I did teach him the action when playing this song. Out of my surprise, he was not merely doing the action but sing the last word of each sentence.

I am so glad with my little boy as he really brighten up my day like a STAR.  ~I LOVE U~

A Drizzle Evening

It was a drizzle evening yesterday.

The only disadvantage of our apartment is the pathway between blocks and the carpark is not cover with roof.

I do not want to carry a sack of rice in my arms to walk back to our unit from the carpark. Therefore I put my little boy in his stroller instead and I gave him a small umbrella to hold on to avoid being sprinkle.

I am really glad to have my understandable boy. He totally understood what I told him and followed my instruction what I told him to do.

He understood what is raining about; He understood that he needs to hold an umbrella up still to avoid getting wet.

In fact, he likes to play with umbrella ^_^

So he was so happy holding the umbrealla all the way from carpark back to our block. Then, I help him to close the umbrella afer we are under the roof.

No worries for me if raining again I think. But.... What if heavy rain??? I think I will look for the way to solve the problem when it comes.

Our Conversation

This was our conversation this morning when we were still lazily laying on the bed.

My arms were rounded on my little boy, while my little boy was enjoying his baobao (aka bolster) and looking at ME ^_^

Psedornna: Do you want mommy to work?
Bryan: NO "shake his head STRONGLY"

Psedornna: Do you want mommy to stay at home with you?
Bryan: Yay.... "with a smile"

Psedornna: Do you want to go Auntie M's (aka baby sitter) house or stay at home with mommy?
Bryan: Err..... Err..... "quiet"

Independent?

This was what happened inside my car this morning! When I was fetching my little boy to baby sitter's house.
The brown colour bag on his lap belong to my boy, everyday I will put in his tumbler, baby bites biscuit, cheerios and the rubik inside the bag. In case he needs something to nibble while traffic jam.

This morning, this little boy told me wanna eat cheerios but I didn't take out for him as I was concentrated on driving. I just told him that "everything is inside your bag, if you really hungry, serve yourself."

First, my little boy lifted up the bag and put on his lap. (I put the bag beside the car seat, where the container was in the first photo.) Slowly, he unzip the zipper and he call out "wahhh..." Then I heard the sound "tuk! tuk! tuk!" then the crunchy sound of my boy biting the biscuit.

When I turned my head, that's what I saw! I quickly snap the photo using my mobile. This little boy was enjoying his biscuit, watching the scenery outside the car. The bag still on his lap, but the container was opened and the biscuits are all on my sofa. ~_~|||

After a while, I heard different sound coming from the back again "slurp.... slurp..." I turned and saw my boy was holding his tumbler and drinking water.

Ya. This is what I remind him everytime he finished a biscuit - "must drink a lot of water"

Some of my friends will say my little boy is so independent, I no need to worry about him at all, he will do all things by himself now.

But I am wondering... Is it consider independent? Hmm...... Anyway, the good of my boy is he seldom, ya... seldom fuss and throw tantrums. As long as we fulfill his need or just explain to him whatsoever we not allow him to do or play.

Hope he will behave himself all way long... As I am bit worry about the "terrible TWO" from what I heard from my friends. Just keep my finger crossed!

A carrot, an egg, and a cup of coffee...



You will never look at a cup of coffee the same way again, whether you drink coffee or not.

A young woman went to her mother and told her about her life and how things were so hard for her. She did not know how she was going to make it and wanted to give up. She was tired of fighting and struggling. It seemed as one problem was solved, a new one arose.

Her mother took her to the kitchen. She filled three pots with water and placed each on a high fire. Soon the pots came to boil. In the first she placed carrots, in the second she placed eggs, and in the last she placed ground coffee beans. She let them sit and boil; without saying A word.

In about twenty minutes she turned off the burners. She fished the carrots out and placed them in a bowl. She pulled the eggs out and placed them in a bowl.

Then she ladled the coffee out and placed it in a bowl. Turning to her daughter, she asked, "Tell me what you see." "Carrots, eggs, and coffee," she replied.

Her mother brought her closer and asked her to feel the carrots. She did and noted that they were soft. The mother then asked the daughter to take an egg and break it. After pulling off the shell, she observed the hard-boiled egg.

Finally, the mother asked the daughter to sip the coffee. The daughter smiled, as she tasted its rich aroma the daughter then asked, "What does it mean, Mother?"

Her mother explained that each of these objects had faced the same adversity: boiling water. Each reacted differently. The carrot went in strong, hard, and unrelenting. However, after being subjected to the boiling water, it softened and became weak. The egg had been fragile. Its thin outer shell had protected its liquid interior, but after sitting through the boiling water, its insides became hardened. The ground coffee beans were unique, however. After they were in the boiling water, they had changed the water.


"Which are you?" she asked her daughter. "When adversity knocks on your door, how do you respond? Are you a carrot, an egg or a coffee bean?

Think of this: Which am I? Am I the carrot that seems strong, but with pain and adversity do I wilt and become soft and lose my strength?

Am I the egg that starts with a malleable heart, but changes with the heat? Did I have a fluid spirit, but after a death, a breakup, a financial hardship or some other trial, have I become hardened and stiff? Does my shell look the same, but on the inside am I bitter and tough with a stiff spirit and hardened heart?

Or am I like the coffee bean? The bean actually changes the hot water, the very circumstance that brings the pain. When the water gets hot, it releases the fragrance and flavor. If you are like the bean, when things are at their worst, you get better and change the situation around you. When the hour is the darkest and trials are their greatest, do you elevate yourself to another level? How do you handle adversity? Are you a carrot, an egg or a coffee bean?

May you have enough happiness to make you sweet, enough trials to make you strong, enough sorrow to keep you human and enough hope to make you happy.

The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the most of everything that comes along their way. The brightest future will always be based on a forgotten past; you can't go forward in life until you let go of your past failures and heartaches.

When you were born, you were crying and everyone around you was smiling.

Live your life so at the end, you're the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying.

My Favourite Movie

~Perhaps LOVE~

This is one of my favourite movie. Even though a few years back movie, I will watch again and again and I still can't stop myself crying when I saw the below part. It's a very touching movie. I LOVE the songs, the artist, the stage, their dance...... Everything!

Diaper OFF


One thing I really feel proud of my boy is he is successfully diaper off on his 20 months. Maybe I should say about 18 months.

My boy started to potty train when he starts to walk on his 13 months, and succesfully diaper off on day time on the 14th months. Anyone who met up with my boy felt so surprise of him, who can tell whenever he wanna go toilet on his 14th months.

At night, I insist to put on cloth diaper for him in order for him to sleep longer time. Normally, he will sleep from 930pm to 8am, without awaken at night. So I felt it's okay for him to wee in the diaper.

Slowly, we felt the cloth diaper is totally DRY when he awaken in the morning. Straight away, he will rush to toilet to weeeeeeeee, and it A LOT!

I am kinda lazy mom, lazy to clean especially! I will totally confirm that there will be no accident only I take off the diaper from my boy.

On my boy 20th months, I dare to try! I dare to put on his pajamas only, without the cloth diaper. YES! I really felt proud of my boy and he didn't disappointed me at all!

I can proudly announce that my boy is DIAPER OFF now!

My boy "LaUgH" at me


My boy laughed at me last night, laugh till "hahahahaha" ~_~

Most of the working day evening, just my little boy and I were at home. As usual, either we will take shower together (my boy love to play water in his tub) or he will stay in my room play by himself while I was bathing.

This little boy was SOOooooo Cheeky last night!

When I took off my clothes and ready to bath, he said: "Mama Shame Shame"

Followed by both hands putting on his tummy and laugh till got sounds "hahahahahaha....."

I really sweat!!!!

He KNEW the spelling

When I start to teach my little boy the alphabet on his 18th months, I teach him the spelling as well. Out of my surprise, he can pick up so fast. Not only can recognize all the alphabet now, but knew / understand the word, if I merely spell the alphabet to him.

For instance, I say: "C-O-W" my little boy will either speak or show his hand sign to show it's a COW. I am so glad that he learn new thing quite fast, is it because of my breastmilk? Hehehe...

My little boy is 19 months + 2 weeks now and he know the following spelling;
ANT, BOOK, BALL, BOX, BUS, CAR, CAT, COW, DOG, FISH, HAT, EGG, GATE, STAR

That's all I can recall. ^_^

Maybe it look simple to us, but as his mother, I feel so happy with this.
